I love how every single time I write up a character, I always try to write a short ver of a backstory but it still somehow becomes a 1000pg novella aha, then there's the fact that i wrote such a long personality before, shortened it though lol. But, wtf what happened to me and my concise writing??

Why I joined S.O.S:
Eli joined SOS, as he saw it as a chance to show the Kpop industry a new sound through his own music, passion, voice and band. He hopes he can make history by bringing something new to the scene and show the true potential of Kpop.
He also joined it because he did not want to ever compose normal pop music for indie artists ever again and to make some big cha-ching to help support his family

PERSONALITY LONG VER. for those who wish to read an entire novella
Eli has a strong belief that the only way things will happen, is if you take control and do it yourself. So when faced with decisions and everyday problems, he prefers to work on his own with no aid. Because of his belief in independence, Eli is often trusted by his seniors and juniors to get things done quickly and efficiently. However, this leads to Eli becoming overly prideful at his accomplishments; often bringing up what he’s done in a conversation. But because of this, Eli hates to be looked down on and pitied from his non-rich background. He finds his origins embarrassing and shares the bare minimum about his past, as well as telling white-lies often. So to keep up this image, Eli is very critical of his actions. If he were to be in charge of creating a song or was practising a dance, he will refine it till perfection. Even if only one minuscule note is off key, he will start from the top and redo it till it’s correct. But because of this mind-set, he overworks and becomes neglectful of his own health and well-being. For example, he will live on 2 hours of sleep a day, to correct his mistakes. However even if Eli is in the worst mental or physical state, he is punctual. He meets demands with dedication no matter what obstacles may be in the way.
Eli is strict on both himself and his band mates, making them work their hardest and always making sure they know when they’re out of line, somewhat acting as a mother figure to them. At times this motherly behaviour turns into intrusive and protective behaviour. He’ll worry about them to the point that he needs to know everything they have done every second of the day. Eli also prefers to hide his stress, frustrations, and problems from others. Cooping it up and believing that he needs to be the one who is the most stable and ‘together’. He will often lie about how he is feeling, forcing himself to believe he is fine, so others may not worry. He also tends to be generous and considerate to everyone, as it helps to keep his mind off his own state of well-being. He will try his best to accommodate to everyone’s needs and often buys small gifts for his band members and staff, after a long or rough day.}

_{On stage
Mature, gentle, responsible and kind to his fans, Eli acts as the 'delicate boy next door' when on stage. He always laughs and talks with everyone, doing his best to treat all his fans as if they were his baby sisters. He tries to act like the mature adult, he is seen to be, and acts very respectfully to all the band's supporters, staff and the public in general.
Off stage
Eli is very nosy and protective of his band members. He acts less like a 'dainty flower boy next door' and more like an unstoppable mother goose. Half of the time he’s very uptight, trying to balance work, training and care of his members, while the other half he is relaxed and playful. He often fusses over his friends and spoils them to no ends. However, if he gets angry or extremely frustrated from someone's antics, he will go grizzly-mama-bear mode on you. By then your ass will become grass and he will mow it to submission. But underneath all that, he always feels a little indifferent and empty from all the stress and fatigue, but tries his best to smile and hide behind a facade.}

LONG VER. for those who wish to read a whole novel 8’)

Seong-jin grew up in a slightly below middle class family of 4, his parents, his older brother (Kyung Sook) and him. His parents worked basically 24/7 and were never home. This resulted in a super tight bond between the siblings. However Kyung Sook was failing high school, so expectations were placed on Seong-jin instead (to become a doctor and go to Seoul uni). Because of this he became a lifeless study machine. A music teacher, in middle school, found Seong-jin randomly plucking at a guitar and offered him lessons. He was fascinated and took up piano and singing soon after.

In high school, he entered competitions and composed music. With his frequent wins in the competitions, he became a fairly well-known local singer. Seeing how everyone enjoyed his voice and music, Seong-jin decided he wanted to take a career in music and not be a doctor. However he kept it to himself, until he saw a poster about auditions for a small entertainment company, while out and about. He saw that there was no way he could pay for training if he made it and when discussed with his parents, they disapproved. Secretly he decided to try and earn money to become an idol, as he believed if his parents wouldn’t support him, he would support himself. He then worked in the weird hours of the night as a performer at a live music club, with an average pay. Soon he was discovered by an indie artist who wanted to buy his songs and hire him as their songwriter. Seong-jin agreed only if he were to be paid a good income. Throughout his next year of high school, he realised even with the two jobs, he was still some way away from his goals. He then took up another job as a convenience store cashier. This soon led to Seong-jin living on an average of 4-3 hours of sleep a day, with barely any breaks.

By now, Kyung Sook (his older brother) was starting to see that Seong-jin was working himself half to death, trying to please their parents and work 3 jobs at once. Worried for him, Kyung Sook tried his best to convince their folks to support his dreams and help him with money. Seeing their son tearing his health to pieces for his passion of music, they gave in and helped him any way they could. Now with the support of his parents and brother, Seong-jin was closer to his dreams now than ever. While trying to decide on which company to audition for, by some amazing coincidence he found the answer to his problems while strolling about. A poster introducing the SOS project. Intrigued by their goals, so similar to the ones he held close to himself now, Seong-jin knew this was the company he wished to audition and train under.}

Fun Facts:
He adores indoor plants, but strangely enough doesn't like the great outdoors.
He hopes one day, that SOS will allow him to compose music and be the songwriter for his band. One day….maybe.
He prefers his close friends and band members to call him ELI instead of Seong-jin, Eli makes it feel more real that he has made it to his dreams and he likes to be reminded of it.
He stress eats a lot, so he exercise a heck lot than others, cause he won’t ever agree to dieting.
He learnt Mandarin for a long time in school and really enjoyed the language, however for Englis,h the same can’t be said.
His stagename means ‘my God’, as God is seen to be the one who created NEW life. Eli chose his name, because of his wish and ability/passion to create NEW music.
If he weren't an idol, he probably would've done his best in school and become a therapist or taken over his parent’s restaurant with his brother. His music would just become a hobby.
He grew, bleached and dyed his hair after auditioning for SOS. Up till high school it was short and black. Eventually he wants to go for funky colours.he also has the same hairstyle as me minus the top knot, how's that for a persona ahah
He often gets nosebleeds when the weather is too warm or dry. If both, they last for ages and don’t stop.
He knows how to cook, because he used to work at his parents restaurant.
